To His Eminence,
25 March 2020, Annunciation of the Lord
Your EminenceDue to the current uncertainty of public life due to the Corona virus, I wish to inform you by this e-mail about my ‘Open Letter to the Cardinals’ and its Appendix, I have sent you by post on the Feast of the Annunciation of the Lord (25 March 2020). You can a copy of this this letter attached. It concerns the nature of your duty as Cardinal to protect and defend the Mystical Body of Christ i.e the Church, its structure, its Doctrine, its Divine Adoration, its Sacred Life and the principles of Pastoral Care. A duty that is independent of your age or status within the Church. The ‘Open Letter to the Cardinals’ with its Appendix is also available on the internet, including the option for “google”-translations: HERE I hope you can agree with the contents of the open letter and its appendix. In addition I kindly request you to consider the consequences of the topics I have listed below. The intention here is to place these topics in a broader spiritual and theological context:
The topics blocked by Pope Saint Paul VI during the Councilare as follows:
Furthermore, when Saint Pope John XXIII spoke about the “prophets of doom” in his Opening Address to the Council, it is entirely illogical that he would have implied these prophets to be the Conservative Council Fathers as the modernist and liberal wing want us to believe. On the contrary, these prophets are precisely the modernist and liberal wing who are continuously arguing in this manner and lying about their true intentions. From before the Council to the present time they still accuse the Mystical Body of Christ i.e. the Church by so-called “doom scenarios” that its outmoded and inadequate “model” (its structure, Doctrine, Church’s Life, Divine Adoration of God and principles of Pastoral Care) is the source of all evil (doom) in society and that the Church has to change/reform. Your Eminence, I also wrote His Holiness Pope Francis expressing my deepest gratitude and very sincere thanks for his public act of Begging for Mercy and Benediction of the world with the Holy Sacrament. However only begging for Mercy, seems to be insufficient here. With regard to today’s general spirit in the Church that is so badly influenced by the ambiguous and rebellious spirit of the “prophets of doom”. Therefore, I humbly request your support in my request to His Holiness to consider the supernatural consequences of today’s sufferings in the world. The stakes are too high for simply ignoring this fact. It can therefore only be solved by supernatural means, in a manner, which expresses unity between three critical public acts of the Church, namely:
Additionally, with regard to your responsibility towards the faithful dependent on you as their Prince of the Church, I humbly request that you also will publicly carry out these three critical acts of the Church and that you urge your brother Bishops to do so also. With heartfelt gratitude for your kind and generous consideration, we humbly beg your sincere prayers for the Holy Father. We offer you the assurance of our filial support and prayers and we humbly ask for the grace of your blessing. Faithfully in Christo, Jack P. Oostveen |
